Broun to Host 2014 Veterans Fair
U.S. Representative Paul Broun, M.D. (GA-10) today announced that he will host a Veterans Fair at the Georgia War Veterans Home on Thursday, March 20th. The annual event is free and open to veterans and their caregivers in Georgia’s 10th Congressional District.
“As a Marine and member of the Navy Reserves, I know first-hand the sacrifices made by the men and women who serve this great nation,” said Broun. “I believe it is one of our principle duties as a country to take care of these heroes and their families once they have finished serving. Whether they are seeking help with jobs, education, training, health care or anything else, connecting our veterans to the resources they need is a top priority of mine. I aim to provide whatever support I can to the brave men and women who have served this country, so that they may have every opportunity for success and prosperity in civilian life.”
This event will provide veterans with the opportunity to receive personal information, discover what benefits may be available to them and their dependents, as well as speak to representatives from the Atlanta V.A. Regional Office, Atlanta VA Medical Center, Carl Vinson VA Medical Center, Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center, Georgia War Veterans Home, and Georgia Department of Veterans Service. Congressman Broun’s staff will be in attendance at this event to provide additional assistance.
