Broun to Host Veterans Town Hall

U.S. Congressman Paul Broun, M.D. (GA-10) today announced that he will host a town hall meeting at Barrett-Davis-Watson American Legion Post 233 in Loganville, Georgia.  Veterans of the 10th Congressional District and their families are encouraged to attend the meeting, which will begin at 6:00 pm on Monday, November 11th. Broun’s constituent service representatives will also be in attendance to meet with veterans and their families who may need help obtaining  benefits, service awards, or any other issues they may be facing. This is a free event and open to all press.

“I believe that every day is an occasion to honor the individuals who have served this great nation, said Rep. Broun. “It is a special treat to be able to host these brave men and women on Veteran’s Day. I look forward to having open and honest dialogue, and it is my sincere hope that these veterans will feel welcome to speak their minds about whatever issues concern them most. Additionally, I have arranged for members of my staff to be available to any attendees seeking individual help.”

Also on Veterans Day, Congressman Broun has invited local veteran Arthur M. Harwood to his Athens, GA office to present him with medals he earned during World War II. Mr. Harwood will be presented with 7 medals including the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal, Combat Medical Badge, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Honorable Service Lapel Button for WWII.
