Broun Announces Liberty Day Project for Students


Athens, Mar 11 - In honor of Liberty Day on March 16th, U.S. Congressman Paul Broun, M.D. (GA-10) today invited students in the 5th grade of the 10th Congressional District to participate in a project headed by the Liberty Day organization.  Students will have the opportunity to submit questions regarding the U.S. Constitution to Dr. Broun via email and he will answer them personally by letter.  Additionally, Dr. Broun will select one outstanding class to visit later in the school year to give a briefing on the Constitution.

Dr. Broun said, “It is so important for our students and young people to study our nation’s most precious document to get a good grasp of the principles on which our Founding Father’s anchored this country.  As an ‘original intent’ Constitutionalist, I carry one with me everywhere I go and base every legislative decision I make on its text.”

When:  Deadline to submit email is March 29th

Where:  Submit questions to Jessica.hayes@mail.house.gov with “Constitution” in subject line
